For anyone interested in owning another of PW's favorite guitars, Gibson is reissuing the late 50's model Melody Maker: Melody MakerUnlike the model that has been available for the last couple of years, this one is closer in spec to the original. Looks like it will be available toward the end of next week, with a price of $360, which is pretty affordable for a Nashville-made Gibson.

looks nice. however, i played about 8 of the older models in a great gibson store and NONE of them stayed in tune. Maybe I will try one of these new ones....
I still think I'm gonna hold out for a similar SG Junior re-release with the PROPER pickguard and p-90 !!

If anyone is interested in one of these guitars, Musician's Friend is selling the worn white models as a call in only special at $249. This is for the worn white color, single pickup model, and is only available at that price by calling and asking about it. Nice little punk rock guitar.
