Love Untold (P. Westerberg)
Verse: Bb Am Gm D# Chorus: Bb D#
[INTRO]: Bb
Bb Am They were gonna meet / on a rocky mountain street Gm D# Two bashful hearts beat / in advance Bb Am Hands were gonna sweat / It was all set Gm D# She ain't showed up yet / There's still a good chance
Bb D# It's a love untold (2x)
Checking on her face / checks his sleeve for his ace And both just in case / for clean underwear Games would be played / Excuses would be made The stupid things they say / in their prayers
All about a love untold (2x)
[BRIDGE]: Gm Bb Soft hands slowly move / across a blank white page Gm D# F Thinkin' of words for our silent / lips and fingers to obey
Bb Am Gm D# It's a love untold (2x)
They were gonna meet / on a crummy little street It never came to be / I'm told Does anyone recall / the saddest love of all The one that lets you fall / nothin' to hold
It's the love untold (2x)
Bb D# Once upon a love untold (repeat to fade)
----------------------------------------------------------------- Note: capo on third fret makes it G / F#m / Em / C and G / C with bridge: Em / G / Em / C / D
From: Dag Hjermann <hjermann@math.uio.no>
I got a correction, I think, for "Love Untold" as transcribed by Mark Graham. It should not be Am in the verse, but F/A:
1 1 2 3 0 .
So the verse should be: Bb - F/A - Gm - D#. I think I'm right on this (sorry Mark).
(Personally I prefer to play C - G/B - Am - F in the verse, and C - F in the chorus. I know it doesn't fit with the record)
From: Jeff Vasey <jvasey@sprint.ca>
I'm pretty sure the intro and verse go something like this. Give it a try, (capo 3rd fret).
Intro 3--3--------3--3--3--3-3 3--3--------3--3--3--3-3 2--2--------2--2--0--0-0 0--0--------0--0--0--2-0 x--x--------x--x--x--x-x 3--3--------3--3--3--3-3
Verse (Gsus2, D/F#, Em, C) 3 x 0 0 3 3 0 1 2 2 0 0 0 0 2 2 x x 2 3 3 2 0 x
I haven't given the bridge a go yet. I think the chorus is just G and Em though.
From: "Michael Collins" <mcollins@wi.rr.com> Subject: Love Untold
I gave it a close listen and came up with this as the progression. Give = it a try; let me know what you think.
Capo on the first fret; chords are as follows:
---0---0---2---2--- ---0---0---2---3--- ---2---2---2---2--- ---2---2---4---0--- ---0---X---4---0--- ---X---4---2---X---
Asus2 G#/Asus2 F#m D
All chords are relative to capo. I think it works pretty well.

I dunno if it's right or not, but it seems to work out whenever we play it at the bar down the street.
