I always loved the riff in this song, so I finally got down to learning this today. I picked up a guitar that was in open G tuning, mistakenly thinking that the song was in this tuning. I was using the version on the CFMT DVD to help me out. There isn’t too much footage of his hand, but I could see a little hammer-on part on the B string, which let me know that the tuning I had was a bit off. After a bit more experimenting, I finally figured it out. For such a simple sounding song, this one took awhile to figure out.

I just listened to the version Paul did in London. For this version, he has the guitar tuned a 1/2 step down. He seems to be all over the map when it comes to the tuning on this song. I guess it depends on how his voice is doing .

i had a guitar teacher tab it out for me about 20 years ago and still have it. Gimme an email and I'll scan it in and email it to you. Its accurate. Use the A Blues scales for the solo. The outro is using Form IV ...
