Now he's gotta do the requisite folkie anti-Wall-Mart song.
88 cents?
I see the supposed Tim version of Can't Hardly Wait is listed but unavailable.
What's the hidden track?
You know the problem with Wall Mart is, they drive all the little mom and pop stores trying to get by on Main Street selling the complete works of Paul Westerberg and the Replacements. That's there retirement, right there, and now it's gone.

Welcome to the 21st century boys, that's one big problem with society they're either too lazy or too busy so they want everything all in one place. the mom and pop stores will never die out cause people like us always have to go there to get good music that these big corporate stores don't stock. and that hidden track they are referring to would be track 18 - "I Don't Know"(my favourite version) on the second disc of all for nothing/nothing for all, the track listing only goes up to track 17.

It is truly sad. I can't think of a good record store in my area. Unless you want to count Record and Tape Traders which is not too bad. But I just can't bring myself to trudge into Sam Goody, Wal-Mart, Best Buy or Target to buy a CD. Nudge is right, they never have anything good in stock. If I am desperate, I'll drive the 30 minutes to Tower Records, but even then.........

Slightly off topic, but Thom Yorke made an interesting point about music downloads (both legal and illegal). He basically said that if this indeed the future of music, since most people are only going to download the individual songs they want and not the whole album, it gives less incentive to bands to release full length albums and the music industry will go back to being a singles market like it was in the '50s and early '60s.

CP is right. Very few artists back in the day actually released full albums. It was all 45's and stuff. That kind of seems to be the way we're headed, but in a more technologically advance sort of way. It would make it easier for those bands who are really good but don't seem to show a longterm market value to get out there. But that's kind of a double edged sword because it would lead to a rediculous number of one hit wonders. Nevertheless, it's a sad day when Wal-Mart is doing things like that. I always knew they were fascist! (just couldn't prove it!)

hey Matt...what happened to your self promotion thread with the link to your website? well, it's of course still there, but this isn't the place for that. I'm not here for the self-promotion section. I'm here to try and talk about different things with fans of PW. like Wal-Mart selling his CD's electronically. Because that's what this thread is about.

I'm not too big of a Wal-Mart hater. I grew up in Nebraska and there seems to be a Wal-Mart in every town there. I never thought any thing bad about it because that is all there was. That is where you got your school supplies, school clothes, snack food, bathroom supplies, and other groceries. I would , however, NEVER buy music there. I prefer the mom and pop stores when it comes to music and talking to knowledgable people. I hate Wal-mart's music section because they are all about censorship. They won't carry any music or movies they deem offensive. That includes a crappy Sheryl Crow song just because it mentions Wal-Mart in an anti-gun rant and Marilyn Manson. Are people still worried about Marilyn Manson? I'm so sick of these Amercian puritanical a-holes!!
