I'm praying for May. I'm happy for Tommy. In a perfect world his album would sell well enough that he would never need Axl Rose again. At this point I'd rather go so Velvet Revolver than G N R. Maybe Tommy could replace Scott Weiland on vocals in that band. That would be cool. After I saw Axl sucking wind after running across the stage at the MTV awards I gave up on him. He was like, "Sha, na,na, na,(weeeeze)na, na, (huff, puff) na, na kneeesss!!" It sucked really bad. I was trying to watch Tommy the whole time but of course the camera was just on Axl and his weird eyebrows. It did show stupid ass Buckethead a few times because of his dumb KFC bucket gimmick. That guy bugs the shit out of me. Wow, you have a creepy, "eyes wide shut" type mask and a KFC bucket on your head! You're such an individual! How about just playing guitar weirdo.

I read something a couple days ago, that I thought would pop up around these here parts.
Axl,Slash, and the bassist I believe is suing their old record company, to stop them from releasing a greatest hits package. They say they are lacking control of the project, my guess is they want more cash out the deal somehow. Anyway, the funny part is Axl saying he does not want this album out now as it would force a delay in Chinese Democracy coming out, as he does not want to compete against his own product. I nearly fell out of my chair. I'm no doubt in the minority, but could give a rats ass about a greatest hits package OR any other GNR release, but I guess there is still a market for both.
I believe I gave up on them the first time I saw and/or heard them.

So adjusting for Westerberg time that would be..let's say, January 2005? I'd swear I read July for Folker, somewhere.

I nearly fell out of my chair. BWAH HA HA - that record has only been in production for how long? Axl is starting to slip with the excuses. "I will not release this record until all of the notes are on it - every note, ever." "I do not want to release this record until mastadons again roam the earth."

"I will not release this record until all of the notes are on it - every note, ever." Well, there's only twelve notes so assuming it takes Axl about a year to learn each one and Spaghetti Incident came out in '93 so the new album should come out in 2005. Hmmm, that sounds about right. Thanks for solving the mystery EM! Speaking of the GnR Greatest Hits thingy, I heard a commercial for it on the radio that advertised it as "The greatest hits from the greatest rock and roll band of all time."

oh, come on claypigeon...
12 notes?... yes - but when you combine them, the possibilities are endless (not really, I just don't wanna do the math...)
just ask Wilco, or Radiohead... ;D

I'm just wondering:
Does anybody care if GNR ever releases another album?
This "Chinese Democracy" (or whatever it's called) keeps getting mentioned on this board. Am I the only one who could give a f*ck if this thing ever sees the light of day? Time for a poll TTBO

just ask Wilco, or Radiohead... ;D I didn't think Radiohead even used notes anymore, just beeps. And no, I don't care if Chinese Democarcy ever comes out. I just find the whole situation really fascinating. Like, what does Axl do on a typical day? Wake up, listen to the album, go for a walk, come back, listen to the album again, change one word to one song, listen to the album again and then sleep on it?
