In an interview(I don't know which one)Peter Jesperson mentions that the lyrics for "ICan't hardly Wait" weren't the original lyrics and that the new lyrics were much less meaningful than the original(which I remember him saying referenced some specific moment or event). I can't make them out on any of the bootlegs, any idea what the original lyrics were?

I think this is referring to the 'airshaft' version of CHW, with lyrics like "Climb to the top of this crummy water tower scearming "I can't hardly wait"". Here's a link to some info on this version, from The Skyway.

That 'airshaft ' version is just beautiful.
This probably isn't what Jesperson is talking about, but Paul also sings completely different lyrics to Can't Hardly Wait on Shit Hits The Fans.
Can't make them all out, though. I know he starts out with "I can't wait forever, and I won't wait for you..."
always wondered what those lyrics were. The song seems to have quite a history.

I'd like to hear this alternate version that isn't the 'airshaft' version. I wonder if there's any floating around.
