Name one word that Paul Westerberg has never used in a song lyric ... and NEVER WILL.
Self-regulate yourself as far as outlandish words that nobody would use in a song. The challenge is, how common a word can you think of that just isn't Paul.
Off the top of my head: sandal

You're walking a thin line on that one, RJ. "MPLS" has lakes, and he very nearly could have said "beach" in that one. It probably would make more sense than "go down to the shore." At least in MPLS, no one says shore about a city lake, but they would say beach. I think Whole Wide World has "beach" in it, so we know he's capable of singing it—maybe just not in his own songs?

I think your taking this a little to serious bucko ;D Not to try to be too adroit, Pete, but the whole point of this message board, as far as I know, is to take things related to PW a little too serious, for kicks, and to enjoy the camaraderie of others who do the same. And of course, to advance the field of Critical Westerberg Studies. "Standing by a beach and there ain't no lake" From Johnny's Gonna Die There you go. RJ just was flying a little too close to the sun with "beach."
