I guess it's about letting the bad times "roll off you"..?
Has anyone heard an official explination for this "staple" song - meaning, "Let the bad times roll"
I searched this board for other discussions on this and couldn't find it..

er, i thought there was an expression "let the good times roll". maybe not then!
i take it to mean let the shitty times in life happen because you probably can't change them, they'll roll by eventually, but you know they'll always come back so get used to it!

That's always been my interpretation. You gotta accept the bad times as well as the good times. It's all part of the life experience.

I never thought about letting the bad times just roll off you meaning, but I'm sure that's correct.
I read somewhere on here that Paul once said (paraphrased) "Don't be fooled, it's a happy song."

He explains it pretty good in the WXRT interview from '02 that is on the bootleg of the Chicago Vic show.
Unfortunately I am too tired to drag it out and listen to it right now.
