i dunno, this song, this #2 it just sounds uncomfortable. like the words and the music don't like each other, but they're trying really hard to get along.

This may have been mentioned before, but does anyone else hear 'the vices of the parents' rather than 'devices of the parents'? Like a child's illness is a result of the parents bad habits?

Yup and it makes more sense to me this way.

Vices is how I hear it too, but I also hear "imbecile grin" and "bacon and cigarettes," so take it as you will.

What I wonder is why he changed the title. The first announced track list had this as "When Will We Arrive?" which would have made three question-mark song titles on Folker, so it could have been just that, avoiding another question song title.

Or maybe Paul changed the title for some other reason. As somebody pointed out, it's possibly his most spiritual or religious song yet. And he put it in a prominent spot on the CD.

Now I wonder when we will arrive at an answer ...
