I was listening to GPB earlier to day, and I got to "Kickin' the Stall," and as I am shouting along with my one note I started thinking, "Huh, what is this all about?" The concept is there, on the tip of my tongue, half formed....I would appreciate some viewpoints.

I think this is one woman not to be messed with. She was sitting behind me at the Minneapolis screening of CFMT with those boots hanging over the seat next to me.

Cool. I was the one who came late with kids who sat on the ledge.
But isn't Kickin the Stall another song about a hemmed-in woman?

In the Stones song it's a metaphor for being sorta sexually on the prowl, isn't it? So that would fit in with what everyone's saying.

I don't think the woman is hemmed in, I think the singer is. And he's yearning to get out and frustrated, because he knows what's waiting for him just right around the corner. And guys, haven't you ever gone to visit a girl and she's waiting for you to one side of her front door, so no one outside can see her, but she can greet you as soon as you arrive? And she's wearing black stockings, just like you asked her to?

Not really, but I like the way you think. It's not specifically the way that I think... she stands to one side, dressed in black from thigh to thigh... but I can't say I haven't been there!
