Nominations being taken ...
I'll go out on a limb and guess it's in the DTAS-SG period, and for some reason "Nobody" comes to mind.

I believe he's said that "Runaway Wind" was his most labor intensive lyrically. Of course he said that at the time of 14 Songs' release, so he may have toiled longer on something since then.

Well, going once, going twice, Runaway Wind it is then, thanks to the poster with the mind like a steel clam.
Or maybe "Actor in the Street" took a long time, mainly in deciding to go ahead with it.

Bookmark. That one is pretty powerful lyrically.

Bookmark. That one is pretty powerful lyrically. I vote for Bookmark as well. It's so detailed while using few words. It reminds me of an extended haiku.

I saw an interview where Paul said that he wrote Bookmark in about 10 minutes while Don Was was sitting in the studio. He said it was easy to pull it all together.
