If yes, what should Paul be next (a train, a river, ...)?
If no, how come not?

Paul should write whatever he wants. If the next song he writes, comes out sounding like a Country song, or a Folk song, so be it. I hope he never panders to his audience, and just keeps making the music that makes him happy. As long as he keeps doing that, there will always be an audience for his music. There's enough "sellouts," who write for an audience instead of themselves, and we definitely don't need anymore.

OK
but for those who have an opinion or just want to play manager, there's no harm in participating in a poll thread on a forum page of a message board that the artist himself never sees

ok, i dig the first person similies. i just had one of those "AHA!" moments driving home from work.
you know i've been addicted to Wild & Lethal, and well it just took me forever to piece together the whole river analogy-- ain't no bank that can hold me back and all that.
sure i'm a little slow on the uptake, eventually i catch on.
i'm not sure what i think paul should be next, but i just had to share that yes, i finally get it.

you mean Paul's not reading all this?.. damn, I 'm outta here... Looks like it's time to start an unfounded rumor that one of the posters here is really Paul ...
