Or vice versa. "Tie You Mother Down" came out four years after "Don't Lie to Me"

Do you have I am the Cosmos by Chris Bell? I'm of tha camp that believes if you think Sister Lovers (Third) is a Big Star album, than so is I am the Cosmos, just a wonderful heartbreaker of an album - and the Chilton/Bell harmonies on "You and your sister" are too gorgeous for words.

Sister Lovers is a bit messy, whereas I am the Cosmos is a solid little weepy album. Especially with Sister & Cosmos. Quite honestly I'm surprised that both songs haven't been covered by major artists yet. Both are gems.

However, I'm a heretic in that I think the best version of "I Am the Cosmos" was the one performed by the newly reformed (uh...kinda) Big Star on the Live In Missouri album. Big Star covering that song kinda brought the whole story full circle. That and I love Jon Auer's voice.
