I didnt' see this posted anywhere else. But AOL Music has a list of the 111 Wussiest Songs and coming in at #93: 93. 'Skyway'Replacements (1987) The most devil-may-care alternative rock band of the '80s was already getting a little doughy when 'Pleased to Meet Me' came out. And on this, the album's little acoustic ditty, Paul Westerberg pretty much became Bread.

Adding insult to injury, it's ranked wussier than: "Do I Make You Proud?" "SEASONS IN THE SUN" "Against All Odds" oh, the humanity........

Skyway is way to "clever" to be on that list. Paul has wimpier songs than that. ;D Good list though and perfect number one choice. Shiny Happy People may be my most hated song of all time...right above Don't Cry by Gnr...if Axl makes Tommy play that song live I will commit hare kari.

I'm so relieved. I thought we were coming up with a list of the 111 wussiest PW/Mats songs.

Ummm... Am I the only one who notices the suspicious looking wet spots on Paul's pants?

Ummm... Am I the only one who notices the suspicious looking wet spots on Paul's pants? I took that shot and it was WARM in there, and that was in the last 1/3 of the show. Did "sometimes when we touch" make the list and if so, how is it not #1? edit--ok, so after looking I feel vindicated that it made #2...but where was Feelings?

Ummm... Am I the only one who notices the suspicious looking wet spots on Paul's pants? My computer refuses to load that part of the photo. Must be that censoring software I got from the Junior Anti-Sex League working overtime.

The 'outraged' reader comments are great...I guess we all learned never to mess with Metallica fans again. \,,/

I was living in Athens when they filmed the Shiney Happy People video at the Georgia Theatre. The black guy with dreads, whose name escapes me now, used to play in the bands Asi Nisi Masa and Thornyhold. I remember hearing about the filming that day, but alas, I was not invited in. At least now I can say I avoided being part of the permanent record of one of the wimpiest songs ever.

Despite the fact that the inclusion of some songs, such as Weezer's "Butterfly" lead me to believe the compilers of this list haven't grasped the concept of passive-aggression, this was laugh-out-loud funny. Largely because I hadn't seen a photo of Creed in years.
The problem with Shiny Happy People is the lyrcics, the music underneath is great. Maybe is should have been an instrumental.
As someone who proudly proclaims his taste in music as "wuss-rock," I just don't see Skyway as "wussy," it's a great short story about a f***-up missing his chance at love. Who hasn't been there?

How bout "Daydream Believer" and ex-Raspberry Eric Carmen's "All By Myself"

111 wussiest songs, well how many songs does dashboard confessional have and there must be at least fifty or sixty wussy songs. ;D

Neil Diamond on the wussy list? It's an outrage. Like an old coach of mine used to say, "He's drank more beer, pissed in more alleys, and banged more queef than the rest of us pussies put together."
