Does Tommy sing lead vocals on this song?
And did he ever sing any other lead for the band?

I think he also sang what I think is called... "Make this your home" or something like that. I only heard what sounds like a demo of the song and to my knowledge it was never played live.

That's actually not a bad song...don't forget the other Tommy classic from that era - "Trouble on the Way". Hopefully both of these will appear on the double-cd release of PTMM, along with "Learn How to Fail" and "Kick It In".

i always thought it was tommy singing on "trouble on the way". "satellite" & "make this your home" are both great tunes. shit, they ALL are for the most part. the obscure ones, i mean.

The lyrics to "Trouble on the Way" are suspiciously un-Westerbergian in my opinion: "If there's trouble on the way, I'm gonna face it right now." Contrast that with "I gotta hide, I gotta run, tried suicide, well that ain't no fun Oh you won't ever say that it's so, You're in love and I'm in trouble." Great song though, could be a Bruce number. My tops box set wish item.

tommy definitely sings trouble on the way - you only have to hear more than once to know that! does he also sing "she sent a message to the boys" in second verse of the song?...

As I busied about the house today, catching up on things, I heard Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love" in my head. Suddenly, it seemed to me that the song I was hearing in my head was now Tommy's "Satellite". Lou's song was recorded earlier, of course, and I wonder , did it have any influence on Tommy penning his song?
