Thanks to Simon in the UK who sent me a copy of the MOJO article. It's short but very interesting and has 2 pictures for the sessions, one of Tommy in the foreground playing, with Paul and Chris in the backgroun, standing in the doorway of the studio singing, and another of the 3 of them, just hanging out. A couple of interesting bits:
Tommy says of the reunion: "There was no particular reason for it…Josh Freese and I were in Minneapolis for the holidays and thought it would be a gas to get Paul in a studio and see what came of it. He brought three songs and invited Chris down to do whatever he wanted. Chris didn't want to play drums – Josh did the drumming – but Chris sang back-up and offered much moral support."
On the yet-to-be heard-of-until-now-3rd track: Thought there are no further reunion plans at the moment, a third, still-in-the-works track "Fluffy Monkey On A Stick", awaits placement and Stinson declines to say 'never'. "It was great seeing Chris for the first time since we broke up," he says. It was a terrific vibe. It definitely left me feeling we may have unfinished business."
You may now commence to speculating on the hidden sexual meaning of "Fluffy Monkey On A Stick"!

You may now commence to speculating on the hidden sexual meaning of "Fluffy Monkey On A Stick"! Paul talks about a Fluffy Monkey on the 2002 Portland instore show. It's during the song Portland and he is trying to remember the lyrics. Maybe this is what inspired the song. Who knows..

And if there's three, WHY NOT FOUR? ;D exactly, and that is an e.p. right there. release it on translucent blue vinyl. they could call it "the cost of living" e.p. if that hadn't already been taken.

I justr heard 30 second samples of the 2 new songs on the upcoming album . It is the sound that PW's solo albums have lacked . I like it
