Hey, Joan Jett names "Let It Be" one of the three albums everybody starting a band should own (along with the Ramones and T.Rex.) Pretty cool ... www.gibson.com/backstage/And check out the story on Grand Mal too. Great song.

That's an excellent interview of Joan. They're not lying about her new record being good - I have a copy of the Japanese release of Naked, and there are a bunch of excellent songs on that record. Not sure how much overlap there will be with the coming US release, but if any thing from Naked gets bumped, the bumping songs will have to be pretty cool. It's always fun when two artists one admires turn out to be fans of each other.

The version I heard had her cover of "Androgynous" on it. Very sweet and pop-y. You don't hear her playing acoustic very much. Her voice kills me. I hear she also called Paul "a nice guy."

i just love, love, love paul & joan on the tank girl soundtrack. ever since, i have been a vocal supporter of the idea of them doing an entire album together.
in fact, here is my new dream band:
paul - git/vox joan - git/vox tommy - bass/vox michaelb - drums
yeah, baby. you can thank me later.

i just love, love, love paul & joan... Die-hard PW fans already know this, but search out Joan Jett's song "Backlash." Paul co-wrote it, sings and plays guitar, and even appears in the video.
