Is this his way of giving Kathy props by giving "Men Without Ties" a new title?

Is this his way of giving Kathy props by giving "Men Without Ties" a new title? My promo copy from 1993 really does say "man without ties", I promise but I'll go with the props idea too.

this is an out-there suggestion, but i have, since hearing about the tracklist, thought maybe the inclusion of "man without ties" is a nod to us.
i mean, it wasn't a hit. it is rarely played. he tossed it off while waiting for a pizza to bake.... also, if we are to believe the rumors, the title "besterberg" comes from us, and i have to think the inclusion of "gun shy" on the 2nd leg (or third, or whatever it was) was due to all the rambling on done here about how great the song is....

this is an out-there suggestion scooter, that's more of an in-here suggestion ... PW: vocals, all instruments Cripes the crowd noise, the laughter, the backing vocals ... it's practically a scene from Friends on that track. He had me totally fooled, never would have taken it for a solo basement concoction. And I don't know jack about laying tracks, but that was at least three frozen pizzas' worth of work there

I know it didn't get a proper release but it did get a great reception whenever he played it in 2002, and he also released "Seein' Her", the other b-side. Plus he said he didn't pick the songs...but like I said, I can be easily persuaded to think otherwise Though I'm not ever sure Paul knows the web site has a name.... For better or for worse, (and the critics haven't been too kind about the title), I do know for a fact that the title came from a post here. yeah when I read the liner notes and he said he recorded it alone, I wondered who all those other people were...? I always pictured it as some kind of goofy thing in a studio with a bunch of folks wandering in to provide background noise. Fooled again!

Prince was legendary for his jam parties at his Paisley Park home studio. He could also fake a mean party all by himself on record. Somewhere across town, Paul was doing the same thing. Is it any wonder he's the mat who has pushed the reunion idea the most?

I just noticed that although the Besterberg booklet and tracklist have it as "Man Without Ties," the CD itself--with the song titles handwritten by Paul (you gotta assume)--says "Men w/o Ties"

[/quote]The Title comes from me. I get so little in life please still give me this credit. "Man Without Ties" I think is definitely included because of this website. I love the song either way. P.S. Fuck the critics about the title! And I didn't say "gosh darn". CENSORSHIP!!

Which is not to say Paul wouldn't bounce between calling it "Men w/o Ties" and "Man w/o Ties", I sure he prolly does.

Don't want no wife or no beginner (with a knife)Does anyone think of this as a Lorena Bobbitt type reference? or is this a case of he who laughs first...?
