Starting a separate thread on songs Paul has played on as a guest or has a co-write credit on. I will edit/correct to this post as anyone provides in the thread.

— co-written recorded "Match Made in Hell" - Tommy Stinson (co-write) “Jamboree” - The Leatherwoods (co-write) as Pablo Louseorama “Wastin All My Time” - The Leatherwoods (co-write) as Pablo Louseorama “We are the Normal” - Goo Goo Dolls (lyric co-write) “Backlash” - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (co-write) "Stranger" - Pretty & Twisted (co-write) “What’s Her Name” - Robin Zander (co-write *uncredited) “Everybody Lies” - Kevin Bowe & the Okemah Prophets (co-write)
— co-written unrecorded “Love of My Life” - Carole King (co-write) “Maybe I Am” - Carole King (co-write)

And here's another one: www.caroleking.com/discography/songs/maybe-i-amFrom the AV interview: "I wouldn't be a good one to sit down, knee-to-knee, to try to write a song with someone. I did it with Carole King, oddly enough. No one hardly knows about this, but we wrote a couple of songs together. I was in between labels or something, and the publishing company suggested it. I went over to her apartment. Boy, she just sat down and was like, "Okay, let's write." She started hitting something, and I was just rifling through my little grab-bag of scraps of paper and started giving her words. We wrote about three songs that were pretty schmaltz, the sort of thing that sounds like what happens when two people get together and want to write a song for someone else." www.avclub.com/paul-westerberg-1798208293

Great thread! Looked up “One More Try” by The Silks—couldn’t find a recording, but apparently it’s a Stones cover?

The old thread is great help, thanks. If anyone knows the title of the song Paul and Robin Zander collaborated on that ended up a b-side please pass that along. I’d only have a guess among the songs I’ve found having no credits.

Does anyone have information on this song that I had saw Paul was “credited” as playing lead guitar on and in particular if recorded or just played with during a show.
"(She'll Get) Pregnant" - Sometimes Y
I am neither finding the link I had recently saw this information from, nor finding anything about the song or band.
I only find references to the band Sometimes Y opening shows at First Avenue in 1987.

I read a long time ago that Westerberg submitted "Runaway Wind" to Zander for his solo album, but it was rejected. Same with Andy Sturmer and Roger Manning (Jellyfish) both submitted a song called "Running For Our Lives" which would have been great for Zander, but rejected also. Zander had a shit load of well known people work on his album- Jimmy Iovine, Bob Clearmountain, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Don Felder, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Dr. John, Dave Stewart, etc. And it went nowhere.
