I have tickets to see Bob Mould in April of next year. Between 1989 and his new album coming out in February, he has released 14 albums. I can't say I've listened to every one in its entirety, but I've checked in enough to know he's still writing at a high level. That's about an average of an album every two years. I think that's pretty impressive.

E. I have a vision he probably has 200+ unreleased records in that vault and I'd say he'd probably make the Guiness Book for what he has in the vault... /quote]I dont think that is the case...he has also indicated he records over stuff, maybe cant get vhs tapes anymore....I expect if he had more good stuff we'd have heard it, perhaps the i dont cares will help focus more releases Nah man...he has a ton of unreleased music. The Drywood releases were just a taste. This goes back to the 80s...I can imagine a "Anthology" much like Lennpn's and imo thete isn't a songwriter more deserving.

Never count Paul out!
From "It'll Never Die":
'Like a pine among the oaks shoots up high until it chokes I'm on the brink today of writing something memorable
(it'll stand tall no thanks from you)'

I won't count the guy out at all. From the Soundcloud page, he throws out some tunes that were probably to show us fans the kind of stuff he's doing just for himself. Songs like Oompah and Hawk Ripping at Your Throat, Got It Made, etc... seem like some sound experiments or was stuff he did for his own fun.
But then he gives us the loud "Dead Sick Of" and an ear worm worthy tune of "Come Hither" with that funky riff. And then comes a quiet and tender "September".
I think the Man's still got it. He may have hit his commercial peak 30 years ago, but to me, he's still an incredibly creative songwriter.
