Two quotes from Facebook this morning:
From Ben Perlstein, Tommy's manager and co-manager of the reunited Replacements:
"No offense to all of the other tours that I've done, but Back by Unpopular Demand 2015 has left every single one of you in the dust.
Best shows. Best cities. Best support bands. Best new friends. Best old friends. Best fans. Best crew. Best rock band ever. Best thanks to every single one of you!
All I can do now is take my first vacation in 15 years and speculate with the rest of you, but something tells me that the fat roadies haven't played yet and that we'll do it again someday, despite what anybody says. In the meantime, off to Amsterdam...this must be just like living in Paradiso!"
And then there's this from Chief, Paulie's guitar tech:
"Don't believe everything you read online. Do I really have to say that?"

That first bit is great to hear straight from the source. I'm hoping it was good for them!

I wonder if this was some off the cuff remark from Paul. I've seen his solo tours and in 1993 he closed the show with, "I'll never play these songs again."
In 2002 he said, "I'll never see you again." I hope that his remark from this last show was meant in the same manner.

Quoting Springsteen on the Westerberg board? Well done.

Brilliant show...Great crowd...The last thing he said before the last song was: "If we never see you again, it'll be too soon"...

Let's at least get a solo release or something if they do end up winding back down. The Joy Boys was released in 2009ish.
