Hey, I follow this message board religiously but seldom post. Firstly I want to say thanks to everyone who posts here with all the latest news, pictures, set lists and shit, it's kept me in the know over the years. I'm headed to Pittsburgh from Massachusetts for the show. It'll be my third time seeing them and I'm psyched! Me and my girlfriend are driving down. Does anyone have recommendations for bars and food. We like good food and good beer. Also, does anyone have the skinny on a cheap hotel or hostel (not a scummy one) near the venue? We might just try the whole airbnb thing. And last question, we are into hiking and foraging mushrooms and stuff, does anyone know of anywhere there might be cheap camping and forests anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania? We're staying for a week and hoping to do a little camping and foraging. Anyway, thanks for any advice that you all might have! And if anyone wants to meet up with a fellow Replacements lunatic pre or post show, let me know! We'll just be hanging out all day prior to the show!

Hi friend, Man, it's been forever since I've posted here! Anyway, I see it's been a couple days since you posted this so you've probably already made it here, but if you're still looking for a hotel, you're probably not gonna find anything cheap near the venue. There are a few hotels on McKnight Road which is just a quick shot north of the city (you would take 279 to get there), and there's a bunch of stuff in Harmarville which is right off Rt 28 near the PA Turnpike (about 15-20 mins from downtown give or take). As for hiking and camping, you've hit the mother-load. Our state park system is unbelievably vistor-friendly and you can check out the website with tons of detailed info on every state park here: at www.dcnr.state.pa.usCloser to the city, I recommend Ohiopyle, Moraine, and Raccoon Creek, but if you're interested in exploring deeper into the state, my personal favorites are Presque Isle (Erie), Black Moshannon (dead center of the state), Colton Point/Leonard Harrison (north central, near the NY border), and Trough Creek (south central). Some other great ones I haven't personally been to yet are Pymatuming (Ohio border), Rickett's Glen (near Scranton), and Bald Eagle (central). I haven't been camping for a few years, but I think it's still about 30 bucks a night depending on what type of site you get. There's tons of little independent campgrounds too, but you really can't go wrong with the state parks. I hope you enjoy your visit to our fine and beautiful commonwealth!

Sorry Pittsburgh. It's a no-win for the band. Cancel and it's a bummer for a bunch of people, but play when you're sick and a bunch of people are disappointed in the show. I'm sure it's a decision they didn't take lightly, and it will cost them money too. Hopefully the rescheduled date will work out for everyone.

Uh oh. This has the potential to throw the whole t-shirt/message thing into disarray.

Uh oh. This has the potential to throw the whole t-shirt/message thing into disarray. So they'll NEED to do the Pittsburgh makeup show.

Did you happen to get it? No travel insurance when you Priceline a hotel. Have tickets for Philly outdoor show for Saturday. Heard the weather is going to be like a monsoon.

Was taking my wife to her first Mats show. Painful as yesterday's postponement/cancellation was, I'd rather she see them at (relatively) full-strength.
