Is the only post Mats/ solo Paul song being played at these recent shows. I wonder why that song was chose? Is it a message? !1 I believe the message is that there will be a fall tour. Also I'm stupid and still drunk from Saturday night.

If they decided to do more Paul solo songs then that would be cool.
I'd choose 'No Place For You' for one of them.
What Paul solo songs would you like to see the Mats play?

Also Tommy has a great category that could fit right in.

I was thinking it could be that it's seasonal fitting, plus Tommy and Josh played on the actual recording.

Those guitars are so full of life hearing it live, fits perfectly in the set. Plus, amidst all the classics, this must feel like one of the new songs for the guys....

Let's not forget that "Psychopharmacology" (Grandpaboy!) was played as well!

"Love You In the Fall" is indeed a great song, as is "Psychopharmaclogy" ( haven't seen that yet, must YouTube it). Really, I'd think they could do nearly any Westerberg/Grandpaboy material and make it work, even Paul's wonderfully loose basement stuff. Don't think I'd like to hear "No Place For You" live, as Katie was a close friend, room-mate, co-worker and band-mate. It might be a bit much - as if Paul doesn't have enough extremely intense songs with very heavy pathos, memories, and just plain blunt emotional sadness. And I truly don't think it's a particularly great song anyway. There are 50 others that conjure up Katie for me far more powerfully.

Also Tommy has a great category that could fit right in. "I'm bleeding on the outside" always reminds me of "We're bleeding but we ain't cut" Three hands up for adding some Tommy-penned post-Mats songs to the setlists

Tommy should certainly get a song or two, ala Keef, at any future gigs. Bash & Pop's "Fast and Hard" would fit the vibe of this incarnation, and "Friday Night's Killing Me" is always great.

FNIKM great song. paul is a genius but it takes the guys in the band to make it come alive.

I wouldn't mind hearing some Tommy songs, like "Fast & Hard" as someone mentioned. Would love to hear "Knockin On Mine". I think that was written near the end of the Mat's days that Paul ended up using for 14 Songs. Plus 3/4ths of this line-up killed it on SNL with that song back in 93.
I'll also add "Dangerous Boys", from Paul's latest ep, from a few years back. If you aped it up and sped up the tempo a bit, that could be a solid Replacements song.

IIRC, Friday Night Is Killing Me was played live by Mats at some point on the ASD tour. It's not out of the question I guess.

Yes, Friday night was played, but it had not become a song yet, more of an idea, and Tommy really didn't know how to sing lead yet
