This one had a specific POV and made me LOL T HE REPLACEMENTS DON'T GIVE A SINGLE SHIT ABOUT YOUR FANDOM
There was the shitstorm hijinks and seamless rapport between Paul and Tommy, as the ever-endearing ass-clown bassist ranted aimlessly about taking a spill and busting up his nose on Amtrak getting to the show—before the elder statesman shushed his disciple up in time to rip into a horde of ‘mats classics, like “Love You In The Fall.” You know, the hooky, empty-headed rocking theme to that kid’s cartoon, "Open Season"—the type of riffer Paul writes in his sleep. Westerberg put an abrupt end to that fuckery (“this one’s better,” Paul proclaimed) before breaking into the orgasmic salvos of one-two punchers, “Can’t Hardly Wait” and “Bastards of Young.” As thousands of graybeards, balding folk and Paul and Tommy-idolizing ladies shouted in unison to “Bastards of Young”’s monumentally chorus of disconnected loserdom, "We are the sons of no one," converged in sing-alongs to bluesy takes on gender-bender testimonial “Androgynous” and loner screeds “If Only You Were Lonely” and “Nowhere Is My Home,” our smirking, rasp-throated hero ate it all up and spit it out.

One really nice moment was when Paul finished "Maybellene" and talked about how Keith Richards heard them sound check it at the Fallon show. He said to Paul that they did a good job with it. Paul then pats himself on the back like Bob apparently used to do when he did a good solo.
I thought it was a really nice moment

And I'm still waiting to see if the Tonight Show will load up the second Mats song on their site. So I am going to guess the second song will be Love You Till Friday/Maybelline that will get loaded up? Unless they did another song as well for the sound check.

I finally listened to the mp3 going around of the Forest Hills show. Being down on the floor (i.e. general admission, not pished up), I did not catch alot of the quips and banter, so it filled in a few parts.
What I want to mention is right before "Unsatisfied", Paul goes "As Linus would say, "Lights please?".
I mean, the man already is godlike-cool-as-f**k in my book. But then he has to go and make a "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown" reference right before the last song, and that last song being "Unsatisfied"??!?''
Man, that is just utter perfection and genius right there.
