Going? Yes. Can't hardly wait (I know, too obvious). Saw them with Slim in the late 80's maybe three times as headliners in clubs around NY. Saw them open for Petty at the Orange County Speedway in Middletown NY. Saw them on the last tour with Steve Foley. I've seen Bash n Pop in Maxwells (Hoboken). I saw Tommy in CBGB's (can't remember if it was Bash or Perfect). I've seen Paul solo during the first two records (with Josh at least once). I missed the CFMT solo stuff....busy raising kids.
Going to this show with the pal that discovered the band along with me. We actually went looking for them in Bearsville NY during the recording of DTAS. It's probably best we didn't find them.
Thank you David Fricke and Rolling Stone for shining the light!
Don't care what they play. Whatever they want is good with me. Wouldn't mind hearing some Ramones. Maybe Backlash. How about some Chinese Rocks? I'd love to hear I'm Not Sayin. How about a Lou Reed cover?
Whatever happens, it is sure to be epic. Can't Hardly Wait.

How about the premiere performance of "Devil Raised A Good Boy"? He opened fire in London with his New York City band....

My niece will be there. She's got a funny story about accidentally slamming Tommy's hand in a door at the bar she runs in the East Village a couple years ago as she was showing him around the joint. Apparently she didn't realize how injured Tommy was til she saw him nearly in tears and they had to ice down his hand. Tom kept asking her: "Why do you hate me so much?".
I'll bet they do a tooon by Forest Hills' finest, da brutha's Ramone, yo. Mr. Johnny Thunders will have to wait til they play Jackson Heights for his tribute.

So excited. I can't believe I'm seeing them again less than a week later, I'm still on cloud 9 from the Midway show.

Hoping for a long show similar to Midway.
No festival time limits.

I saw that there are still some tickets on sale. I have been obsessively checking the weather report and currently, the forecast for Friday is sunny and 67,with a cool clear night. I can't imagine anyone who is on this board and within a reasonable distance of NYC bring on the fence but if you are, git off the fence! Cmon down to Queens (or up, depending on where you are)!

IN. Thanks for the info on the meet up spot Kathy. Not sure if I can make it before hand though. Will try.
Don't have our tickets or hotel booked yet. Just going to have faith things are gonna work out.

If anyone wants to head down to the city after the show, check out my niece's bar - Dream Baby. Lots of cool folk like it: Joe Strummer's daughters, Tommy, the Green Day dudes, lots of NYC sorts. It's considered a great pub, always with great music being played. dreambabybar.com/EDIT: ask for Maria and tell her Uncle Willy sent ya.

Don't care what they play. Whatever they want is good with me. Wouldn't mind hearing some Ramones. How about some Chinese Rocks? I just got done reading Dee Dee's novel and the Joey biography by his brother ("I Slept With Joey Ramone"). I felt really really crappy the day Tommy Erdelyi passed away in July; kinda like "the party's officially over." Nonetheless, given that Dee Dee, Joey, Tommy and Johnny all grew up on the same block in Forest Hills, Queens ... Let's face it: there's Ramones all over Sorry Ma and Stink - and of course Tim. I'm stumping for "Pin Head", with Paul carrying around the Gabba Gabba Hey sign upside down. The Mats aren't big on nostalgic nods, but if you're ever going to pull a cover (other than Jackson 5) out of your bag of tricks ... that'd be the time and the place.

I'm going with three friends. We are planning to go to the fh stationhouse before the show, too. Looks as if they have some interesting beers on tap.

Looking at tickets on Stubhub.....trying to see what they get down to.
First saw these guys in 1989 at the Beacon for DTAS tour. Saw them on ASD tour. Saw Paul solo a few times. Saw them at RiotFest in Chicago and going to Austin in a few weeks. Keep me in the loop on where the meet ups are. I'll most likely be there.

Looking at tickets on Stubhub.....trying to see what they get down to. Just noticed they have $35 upper bowl tickets now on the ticket site. Don't recall that being an option. Does anyone have any idea on if it's better to be seated on the side or straight ahead at this venue? It looks like the side seats will be closer sight lines to stage and the "dead center" seats/bowl will be furthest away. Assuming they won't have the video screens since they didn't have them in St. Paul. Wish they would have the screens for a show this size.

How many tickets will they sell for this? Is it comparable to Midway?

The stadium's capacity is listed as 17,000. I believe all but what they call the " upper bowl" have sold out.
