Does anybody what the perks are for the Denver VIP ticket?
All the web site says is:
SATURDAY VIP Includes: - Admission into festival grounds on Sept. 21st - Access to VIP lounges with private bar - Access to VIP viewing areas near the stage - Discounted beverages
Trying to figure out if it's worth the extra $45. Any help is appreciated.

I did the VIP in Toronto and the GA in Chicago. In hindsight I don't think I would've bothered doing the VIP. First off, the VIP section is not in front of the stage but a segregated section off to the side. In Toronto it was to the left of the stage and to the right in Chicago. We had our own portable toilets and vendors in the VIP section in Toronto, big deal though, totally not worth the extra $60 or whatever it was in my opinion.

I had GA in Chicago, so I can't really speak to it, but I will anyway. I've heard lots of negativity and regret surrounding VIP. Most folks I heard from feel it wasn't worth it. The set up did a seem a little strange, with VIP being off to the side.

Not that I am stressing about it or anything...but maybe with a VIP ticket you get to see the schedule and a detailed map before the festival begins.

I didn't buy the VIP for Chicago because they were sold out but did not regret it one bit. You will be fine with GA. VIP port a potties were right next to public potties - simply had a fence around them. Does anybody what the perks are for the Denver VIP ticket? If you're going to buy drinks there anyhow, then it might be worth it, depending on what the "discounted drinks" means.
I ran some quick math on the Chicago VIP option, and with the 15 drink tickets included (at $7 per drink), that was $105 in credit, which almost completely paid for the VIP upcharge. So, for a small fee, there was access to the VIP section for what that was worth, some lounge chairs to relax in during down time, and perhaps a closer restroom and shorter line at times (for example, the ones in VIP on the right of Riot Stage were closer to me than the public ones off on the left). I agree that the VIP section for watching bands you're really interested in wouldn't have been worth it to me - much better to be down in GA.
You might try asking the Riot Fest folks in an email about the drink discount amount. They were very nice when I emailed them with questions.
Full disclosure: by the time I decided to go with the VIPs for Chicago, they were already sold out, so I didn't get the chance. The Riot Fest folks told me that if I did buy them in time, my regular GA tickets would have been refunded in exchange.

I didn't realize they had an email. I just sent them one and will post the reply here.

Emailed them again, no reply. I looked at the map of the grounds, a little hard to tell, but the vip viewing areas look like they may be on the side of the stages. Not clear if the areas near the stage serve drinks, or you have to go to the main VIP area. So given the uncertainty of that, what the discount drinks are worth, and lack of info from riot fest, I just bought GA tickets. Thanks again. See everybody there!

Once I got to the show, I was very glad I did not spend the extra money on the VIP tickets. I actually think I ended up with a better spot without them.
