The pressing info for PTMM? I have two vinyl copies, one with the yellow cover, one with the green. I am getting rid of a lot of doubles I have (you can only play one copy at a time right?) and would like to keep whichever is rarer (yes, record collectors are pretentious assholes!). Can't seem to find any info online. Any help would be appreciated!

My understanding was that the main US pressing/distro was with the green sleeve, whereas the international pressing/distro (my one is the New Zealand pressing/distro) had the yellow sleeve. However, the yellow sleeve is not as rare as it once was due to the US re-pressing recently of 180-gram vinyl which was distributed with the yellow sleeve.
My guess is that the first yellow sleeve is rarer overall, but the green sleeve would be rarer in Australia & NZ due to the green being an import there.

Thanks for the info wibbler. Being an Aussie maybe I'll hang onto the green one!

First pressing in the US was yellow. Everything after was green until the 180g reissue.

It depends on why - if the yellow is not the 180g reissue than you basically have 2 pressings of the same record. If you only want one, then the green one is the one to ditch. If you think it's kinda cool to have both, then keep `em.
If the yellow is the 180g reissue then you might want to keep both as the green one at least represents the original mastering.
I haven't heard the vinyl remasters, but my experience has been that plenty of times I prefer the original pressings. Not always (Stones vinyl remasters are amazing) but sometimes, even tho the remasters might sound a little better, there's something lost in the new pressing. I'm a huge Tom Waits fan and his first 4 LPs were remastered and they sound great, but I love the original pressings and seem to always listen to them.

What ever you do, melbmatsfan, take good time to think about it. I got plenty of regrets from ditching vinyl in the past and the replacements for them (hmmm, good pun there) have cost plenty!

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will keep the yellow one. Neither are the remasters, I am yet to hear those. I am just going through a lot of possessions and getting rid of the clutter. There's too many things in life we really don't need.

I just checked my vinyl, I have the yellow version too. I also noticed that the Rhino CD reissue has the yellow while my older CD pressing has the green.
