I know recently ORG Music was supposed to reissue it on vinyl, but it didn't happen for some reason. Maybe when they put out the reissue of Don't Tell A Soul it didn't sell enough copies.

I love that oft maligned record. One of my favorites.

i'll sell my casette for $400 and maybe a few more zeroes after that. "someone take the wheel" is a classic, as is the title track. it captures the entire 'Mats existence from start to unraveling finish. and let's face it, Paul knew they were done when this album came out. why else would "The Last" be the last song. i reserve a melonchaly romance toward that album, knowing it wasn't perfect and wasn't entirely the 'Mats, and yet they left on a high note, leaving us wanting more. far goddam more. it wasn't until a few years ago, when i realized that i saw the 'mats some three weeks before their official last. and let me tell you, there was no inkling that they were done, given the first of two shows they put on in vancouver at the 86th street venue. we got there way early, and managed to get seats up in the short balcony immediately overlooking the stage so as not to have an obstructed view. i still remember waiting in line and peering through the window to see Tommy, in red mohawk, walking by. (how much cooler some 17 years later when i actually met him and shook his hand in B-lo, but that's another story). and then they came on stage and as incomplete as the band might have been, they rocked and rolled. and i still recall paul in some button down shirt making the jesus christ pose for "can't hardly wait" or i think it was "can't hardly wait." didn't matter. it ranks as my most favorite show, and still one of the best in vancouver at that time. oh, have i mentioned that the Replacements were and still are one helluva misfit, fall-down-drunk, middle-finger in the air, inspired outfit? or at least that's one bastard's opinion.

I saw them on this tour as well, but there seemed to be every inkling that they were done...Generally, they just seemed tired, if not depressed...It was a depressing show...I was out of it enough to not even realize that Chris was already gone until I read later that he had quit...The one thing I remember really liking was "Bent Out of Shape", where Paul seemed to struggle to find some last reservoir of energy to make it through this song, and the somewhat ragged harmonies on the chorus just gave the whole thing the feel of a desperate last stand...
