Just realized that the goal on Slim's fund still hasn't been met.... and thought the link to it deserved to be un-buried in case anyone is looking for it... perhaps a "thanks for inspiring a new Paul and Tommy EP" donation? just sayin..

Just saw this posted a few days ago by Slim's wife, Chrissie. The Dunlap family really needs financial help, guys. Please do whatever you can. Also - can we change the title of this thread? Gives the impression that they don't need any more help.

that's pretty discouraging news, that he'll need round-the-clock care for the rest of his life.....man, i hope not, i hope that it's the doctors just giving a worse case scenario and that it doesn't necessarily mean he'll need this care forever. i chipped in a few days ago....also saw that some really generous person chipped in $2K recently!
it's pretty sad that catastrophic care can wipe you out financially....i really hope Slim gets stronger and better.

Thank you! Oh, and if we could plan an auction, that may raise some extra money. A friend of mine (online ) lost her son in a freak accident at home. He was just 6, and because of their on-going problems with their mentally-ill daughter, they had nothing with which to bury little Will. Well, they are big Kiss fans, and Kiss donated quite a few items to be auctioned. Lots of autographed stuff, etc, and things the rest of us donated. Seeing as how I am not able to give money, I added some posters and hand-made jewelry, and they came quite close to the amount needed. I just couldn't stand the thought of my friend burying her little boy and then having to worry about how to pay for it! I have posters and some items to donate....It's the only way I can help, as we've lost almost everything in the past few years. But still...I'll do anything I can to help!

Despite not owning a device that can play vinyl, I look forward to spending a ridiculous amount of money getting one of these.

I'm looking to sell my Paul Westerberg First Act Guitar which is in excellent condition to someone in the Twin Cities and I will donate half of the money to the Slim Dunlap Fund. I still have the box that it came in. I'm broke which is why I can't donate all of the money. Looking for $175. Let me know if you're interested in this sweet guitar and great cause.
Thanks!
