What in your opinion is Tommy Stinson's best song?

Friday Night is a classic, and his pinnacle so far.

It would be nice to see a retospective sometime in the future of Bash and Pop,Perfect, and solo material. That would be a pretty solid and fun collection.Plus it would simplify things for fans who are discovering Tommy and don't know the earlier stuff.
Not A Moment Too Soon is one of my faves. He must be establishing himself somewhat because it seems nobody is requesting G'n'R songs or yelling for Satellite anymore.

I love "Seven Days a Week". Great seeing him play it with so much drive solo and acoustic a few months ago.

Hey You or Motivation for me, depending on my mood. Really looking forward to the album, VGH was so fantastic.

Hate It is a good song. Not sure if it was from a scrapped solo project or what.

I love "Without a View." He mentions views in a lot of his songs but in this one he puts it front and center with a moody arrangement and no hurry -- the opposite of "Fast and Hard," which I love too.

"Nothing" is a pretty great melancholy song. And I always wondered whether PW's "Nothing to No One" was at least inspired by it.

Some great ones mentioned - Never Aim to Please, Saturday Night Is Killing Me, Seven Days a Week have to be on the list, but I'd also add Better Days and Don't Look Down. I'm really looking forward to his new release.

Definitely Never Aim to Please, Tiny Pieces and Friday Night. But then, almost every track on Friday Night is a contender. I think the only one I don't care for is He Means It. And like Tommy said in that recent interview, the Bash and Pop record just sounds amazing. It's got that timeless balance of raw and polished in the production. Unlike VGH, which sounded weirdly dated the day it came out. And the Perfect stuff just has a somewhat generic sound to it, to me at least. I still think Friday Night is overall the strongest solo record by any ex-Replacement.

Just like, as someone said here, the current lineup is his "Wings."

I'll jump on the bandwagon and agree that all of Bash and Pop kicks ass. I haven't been able to get into most of the stuff since then, although the new songs he played live were pretty good.

i kinda think his best work still may be ahead of him... for instance, (and i don't wanna sound like i am setting the bar too high) but this new album of his seems really promissing!
take these youtube videos for instance....
my favorite's to date would have to be.....
loose ends, never aim to please, fast and hard, friday night is killing me, he means it, makes me happy, 7 days a week making, of an asshole, somethings wrong, me, Motivation and a whole lot more that i haven't thought of.

I love the song 'Hey You' on VGH, love the whole album but that one is one of my favorites.
I agree that Bash and Pop- Friday night is killing me is the best solo record by Tommy to date though.
