There's some live ones too, but they didnt turn out too great. My dad is the reason why I love the Mats and Westerberg so much, i grew up listening to em. Who knows what life would be like if things weren't the way are?
A bit off topic, but while looking threw the box I also found every member of REMs autograph from a 1985 gig, and several autographed records by The Long Ryders. It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Wow, amazing pics. Excellent taste your dad had. Unfortunately my dad loved Bad Company and Molly Hatchet (that's why my name is Nazareth). But i did take his Appetite for Destruction record so not all was lost.

Thx for posting! Wearing little buttons seems to have been in then ... your dad has five and Bob has one. Also: "Meat Puppets Ruuul" and some sloppy whitewashing on the wall at left edge of Paul pic. Wonder which Madison joint that was?

Fantastic pictures. Really brought back some memories. I hope your old man's smiling now that his pictures have put a smile on a few faces around the planet.
No real story and I could of course be very much mistaken but the jacket Pauls wearing was just like one he wore when the mats came to London a few weeks later in 1986.
I quite liked it and making some small fanchat with him complimented him on it when they played Dingwalls in Camden Town. When they came back a few weeks later having toured Europe. I asked him if he was going to wear it again and he said that a fan (in Italy?) really liked it and he'd given it to him.

I'm not sure why, but those photos got me so stoked. You should be proud of your old man. He was a cool guy.
I just had a kid in January and the Mats will be on the turntable for him to dig, that's for sure.
All the best, man.

Pretty cool photos - thanks for sharing. The wall looks like it says MUPPETS RUUUULE, not Meat Puppets though.
