I'm quite excited. It may be worth the trip for me. The only person at my office who would even pretend to care is not in today. So, I'm going to bust. In the off chance you don't know why this is significant, Alex Chilton is the front man for Big Star. Again, Holy Crap Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009 7:00 PM EST at Brooklyn Masonic Temple in Brooklyn, NY www.ticketweb.com/t3/sale/SaleEventDetail?dispatch=loadSelectionData&eventId=2690604

sounds awesome! I wish I still lived out East and could catch a show like that. I've been wanting to catch Alex play for a while, and a big star show sounds awesome!

At least they were wise enough to hit the road to promote their box set.

That's cool news. I had a similar reaction when they played here in San Francisco last year. a Great show, great to hear the big star tunes played live. Those guys in the band from the posies fit right in.

I was disappointed to say the least that they couldn't get it together and book a tour for their last album (they couldn't even be bothered to promote it).
I'm happy and surprised that they thought to do it this time.

If i was near still, god knows I'd be out there! Of course, as a grad student I don't even take a sick day, I just don't show up, it's kind of nice. Phil
