If it's still online, the Replacements Bible has it. (Sorry, I no longer have the link.)
The whole thing is this massive PDF file, but lots of good stuff -- assuming it's still out there.

Yeah, I used to have the bible .pdf, so I've read the article. It's just that the Voice archive presents scans of the actual newspaper, complete with photos. If I remember correctly, the bible just had a text transcription of the article. I just don't get why I can't find it in a search.

I printed the 'Mats bible, but also had it bound so can't scan the article. "Going Down With The Replacements (Not a Bunch of Loads)" was written by R.J. Smith and appeared in the Village Voice (issue dated December 11, 1984).

I had the Mats Bible bound in leather and gold-embossed and hired monks to draw illuminations in the margins of the pages which are animal vellum so it's suitable for worship. I don't know if this helps but the verse you're looking for is in Loads:25:
And They rode the tour van for forty nights and forty days Yea, and Thomas donned strip-ed attire and painted face And Robert a dress of fine linen and underclothings on his head And St. Paul said unto them, "Play it, you fuckers," and they did. And it was good, lo except on those nights when it sucketh, And even then it was pretty good.

"Verily, I say unto ye, it is in the key of E, sorry C This the word of the (drunk as) Lords"
