I don't live in the US. Can people tell me if Paul's recent stuff is big at colleges? I heard he was on a college top 10 list or something a while back.

I go to college. I like Paul. Does that count?
Actually, the college radio station was given a copy of DMS to review and play. One of my roommates had to review it and I threatened death upon him if he didn't give it a good review...

Paul made Rolling Stone's College Radio Top 10 or whatever that chart is called one month, I think for CFMT. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

(How do you change those pictures, like the one of Tim Rogers? You Am I, great band, and Paul's band when he comes here (I hope), but he better not abuse the rhythm section.) And yep, that's probably the list someone (you?) mentioned earlier. I just remember that a lot of the best, often obscure, bands used to be big on college stations. And I was wondering if the line in Knockin' 'em Back has some basis.

I'm in college and am a fan too...but I wouldn't say that this is a common thing at my school (although my school's generally not a typical college campus).

See, now that little pink symbol to the left is supposed to help you from making embarrassing mistakes such as this post. But thanks for the hint. All of the male Westerberg fans I've been looking for must be in the bushes...

Isn't there something about "campus" in Alex Chilton (I stopped worrying about the words to that song a while back. Great song. Just feel like the words can be whatever people want. In fact, I think they transform between listenings. )

I heard it on this message board but it was probably referring to In Press or Rolling Stone (do people still read that? Didn't they used to have a college chart?) Before this thread disappears off the radar, I guess I was wondering if people notice Paul being played in dormatories and/or on college stations. Like revolutions, colleges are often "hotbeds" of change and new music (well, at least a bit in the old days and in some countries). I realize most students these days (and before) are more worried about getting jobs. Any U of Mich or U of Wis or U of anywhere people out there who can give me a reading on the pulse of amerika's college students Paul-wise?
