I still haven't decided if the last cover "What Kind Of Fool Am I?" is absolutely brilliant or possibly the worst thing ever commited to record.

i'm thinkin' it might possibly be both.... worst thing ever committed to record (wish he'd used his "real" voice) but maybe absolutely brilliant when performed live

This song reminds me of when the Mats did " If I Only Had A Brain" live (you can hear it on some bootlegs). Paul was obviously inebriated back then but it sounds like he's trying to sound inebriated on this one. It's not exactly out of character for him to goof off like he does here. Of course, he always makes his goofs sound so heartwarming.

His goofiness on "Fool" is ok by me, beats the straight stick approach on "Souvenirs." The lyrics cut a little close, so he slurs 'em.

From the way it starts, you almost thinks he's going with a "Sid Vicious My Way" kind of vibe, but by the end he kind of sounds serious. He is becoming really good at picking covers that sound like something he could have written. Lyrically, it does hit close to home, but sometimes the late-night, drunken karaoke is a little much.

I hear what you're saying, pinesol, but wasn't it the roadie singing on that tune? Yup, that was the roadie. As for "Fool," it's heartbreakingly beautiful.
