her name isn't cat power btw...CM would be good for the more quiet songs, but i'd have to elect america's sweetheart, Courtney Love or Kim Gordon to sing any postcards from paradise styled GPB songs.

2 words: AIMEE MANN
he's better with women but at least that way he could say he's dueted with a Mann.

Lucinda Williams Leona Naess Aimee Mann
And even though they've dueted before, Joan Jett. Those two sound great together (and she did a great cover of Andrgynous last time I saw her)
Randomly: I'd like to see Paul play w/ The Figgs and Star Spangles. Both bands are great live and could fit with Paul nicely. Jesse Malin and his back-up band would be cool too.
Heck, maybe even Paul can join Ryan Adams on stage sometime and they can bury the hatchet.

Kasey Chambers
Also, the new pornographers latest "the electric version" could be a classic. I couldn't keep it out of my player for months.

Any fans of Cat Power probably know her name is Chan Marshal btw.
I love most of these picks.
I think Ryan Adams and Paul should do a song called "Kick Your Teeth In" set to "Kick Your Door Down".

don't you btw me, Brad. your presumptuous attitude is remiss and also happens to be something i don't care for. There are fans and non fans alike who have no idea what her names is. Lest you forget...we are often dealing with 2nd graders here, clarity is imperative.
if pw, patti smith and sonic youth play something together I'm going to die over missing it....this show is sold out?

hmmm. i wonder how a single, vampire-ish woman wearing holiday attire might obtain entry to a sold-out concert.....

That's funny considering you have the most presumptuous attitude on this whole board. I only btwed you because that is how you sounded. I realize though that no matter what I say you'll still be mean-spirited and that's fine. I don't feel like getting in a fight with you. You win. Good job (nice use of remiss). I agree with you a lot though on your musical taste but I'm sure that is probably insulting to you. I wouldn't want to miss that show you mentioned either.

me? a presumptuous attitude? hardly, Brad. The truth is, I'm blessed with psychic abilities and visions (I have one of those 8 ball things). what's your excuse?
also, perhaps you should be more warry of patronizing WalMart. I know this is not nececssarily easy to do in more suburban parts of the country, but it's important to make a conscientious effort to shop elsewhere. That monster is not only destroying the fabric of independently owned business across this country, but the disloyal mannor in which they treat their employees is deplorable and worthy of reproach.
please note...whilst parenthetically complimenting my use of an everyday word, please use quotations and cut out the f*cking sarcasm. thank you.

I think this is an inappropriate thread for a married man. Of course, the answer is his wife......oh wait, I thought this was titled "Vocalists Paul Should Do It With"
Nevermind.

2 cents
does anyone really enjoy patti smith other than Mikey Stipe. I think she's way overrated ( ahem ....sucks) and not nearly as important as Chrissy Hynde.
