not the best lines, not the best couplet, not the most meaningful words ... just the best rhyme Paul Westerberg has ever written, that's all. Name it, and when we get seven or eight top shelf rhymes, we'll do a poll for all time ... until Folker's public anyway.

feeling better than yesterday and worse than tomorrow it's depressing for me to say, i've been dressing like greta garbo
everybody at your party, they all look depressed everybody dressing funny color me impressed
on the bus watch our reflection on the bus i can't stand no rejection
you don't fit or accomodate you learn to quit it's a stunning trait
get up from a dream and i look for rain i taken an amphetamine and a crushed rat's brain
gonna run to the wind where the big bad city blows it's a wonderful lie i still get by on those
i had a bunch more, but i thought i'd let someone else play.

Feelin' good from the pills we took. Oh baby, don't give me that look.
You can cram your dreams with computer chips. Give me tambourines, a pair of shaking hips.
You're the coolest guy that I ever have smelled, Ain't a notch on nobody's belt.
You really could go on forever.

my taste runs to the unlikely word choices, like "It beats picking cotton and waiting to be forgotten." or the above-nominated "smelt/belt" and "tomorrow/Garbo"
i need to go read that thread that explained the "vices/ices" lyric again

Feeling like a hundred bucks, exchanging good lucks face to face Checkin' his stash by the trash at St. Mark's place.
I'm baffled by how you fit so many rhymes together like that. It's dizzying. (or maybe that's the headache from spending too much time at the computer screen.)

"All you ever wanted was someone to take care of ya All you're ever losin' is a little mascara" outdoes even the Berenstain Bears cartoon theme song: "They're kind of furry around the torso/Just like people only more so"

Loads I could choose but I'll nominate:
'The ones that love us best Are the one we'll lay to rest We'll visit their graves on holidays at best'
Similar to what someone said above, love the way it contains a rhyme (graves/holidays) within another rhyme (rest/best). Genius.

You can cram your dreams with computer chips. Give me tambourines, a pair of shaking hips. From the same song, these killer rhymes: You've got call waiting It's irritating me to no end Your hall of fame is Littered with famous Women and men
