Watching it now: "Berlin". Turns out the drummer lives near me.
Anyway, I was just picturing Aamer Haleem showing up on Paul's doorstep asking him to sign an old Mats record and Paul signing something around the lines of 'Screw You' or 'Mr. I. P. Daily'

i can see the door opening , johnny sayin hello....and paul walking up and telling them to fuck off....i am still playing music and so is toomy, and go the fuck away.....that show is pretty scary funny, to see some of those folks who have completely gone to hell since the bands split....although the most notable somment, of "i dont know if i remember howto play that song"..certainly still applies to st. paul

Man, I would pay money to see them try this with Paul. VH1 was sleazing me out with all their ambush tactics when I saw that Berlin episode, so I'd love to see Paul shoot them down without mercy.

I must be out of it. I didn't even know Difford and Tilbrook broke up, just thought they were on sabbatical or something.

Do the Alarm guys keep their hair the way it was when they were (not so) famous?
Irregular: I just figured out your pic is not Strummer/Jones

I've seen Mike Peters from the Alarm twice in the last 7 or 8 years. Plays some Alarm stuff. (Deeside, Where were you Hiding) The hair is not as it once was.
Squeeze recently played in NYC. I don't think it was the entire band though, but I thought Difford & Tilbrook were in the band. I couldn't go.
I would definitley still, throw it in Teri Nunn!!!

Can't we just be happy that they showed us how hot Terri Nunn still is? Good point! Speaking of that show, I was telling my wife how bad I felt for the keyboard player who kinda chunked up and lost his hair. He was her favorite of the group cause he didn't look like a 'girly man.' (This is not a woman who swoons for Clay aiken and Justin Timberlake.) I'm wondering if you all feel more like me than her. I am also now wondering why the plumber's been around so much.

I wanna see the Flock Of Seaguls and Frankie Goes To Hollywood shows. Both of those already aired, but I'm sure they'll be rerunning them endlessly.

I have become embarrassingly addicted to this show. Frankie did it for me. All the tension about Holly and how NONE of them even looked remotely like their past selves except for Holly. Who brought a dog.
I will be watching every episode I can find, I know I will...
Has anyone seen the KajaGooGoo one? I NEED to see those idiots.

I watched the Squeeze show tonight. I thought it was going to be an hour. After everyone agreed except for a maybe from Jools Holland, I figured the second half hour was going to be the concert. Instead they come back from the comercial break:
"They all changed their minds. Sorry. Goodnight everybody."
That's was a little disappointing, but I really liked the concept of the show.

I happened to watch the same show, and was hoping that between themselves, they agreed to have some sort of conversation, but thought doing it in the contrived manner of the show was too over the top. Seemed like Difford and Tilbrook at least wanted to patch up some hard feelings, which is good. Also brought up thoughts of the clash DVD called westway to the world. At the end, Strummer is talking aloud about the breakup of the Clash, and he sounded pretty remorseful about splintering the strummer/jones team, which makes it more poignant with his passing.

We all must have had little to do last night. I was suprised by the abrupt ending to the Squeeze show - making me think something happened at the last minute.
I love the songwriting of Difford and Tilbrook. I guess I thought they'd always be working together in one form or another.

Well, something did happen at the last minute. They decided they didn't want to the show after all. That's one of the cool things about the show. Not every reunion is successful. I was sure that Frankie Goes To Hollywood were going to pull it together and do the show, but they backed out at the last minute too.
