It is truly beautiful that the Replacements' music strikes a chord with many diverse peoples of widely varied backgrounds ... but they were RAISED IN THE CITY, like the song says.

That's urban boredom on them there tracks. Do people in the suburbs even stand on the corner?

Having worked in the music business before I'm guessing nobody even listened to the songs before writing the marketing drivel.

i can answer, from experience, no. i lived in a house at the corner of 49th & park in minneapolis, then i moved out to the 'burbs. i can't give directions to anyone because everything is so damn rounded off out here! unnecessary curves everywhere. jesus, give me a city grid for chrissake!
