Don't bother looking for Open Season anywhere:
For recordings released during the Eligibility Year October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 Note: More or less than 5 nominations in a category is the result of ties.
The 'mats compilation didn't make it in any of the categories.
What is the big deal with that Gnarls Barkley song anyway?

As the years go by, shows like the Grammys become less and less relevant to me. I think it becomes meaningless after awhile.
Sure, we'd all love to see our fave artists get some huge public recognition, but the industry is corrupt and driven by money. Not by artistic endeavors.
I really don't think artists like Paul sit around yearning to be recognized by the industry. If Paul really did, he'd have really compromised himself and let himself be a puppet of the record label years ago.

I like how Bob Dylan has won multiple (I think) grammys but displays his emmy on his amp when he tours.
Edit: Oscar, I mean. I think. I don't know, I never did care too much about all those awards.

You're right, that's his Oscar for "Things Will Change" that he keeps on his amp.
As for Grammies, he's won many less than you may thing. I don't believe he won any until one of his early 90's acoustic covers albums won a best traditional folk award. In '97, he won three for Time Out of Mind, but none of his true classic albums (including Blonde on Blonde, Blood on the Tracks, etc.) ever won.

Timberlake vs. Mayer - hell, it's like Ali-Frazier!!!
I'm can't see how it would be possible for the Grammys to be any less relevant to me. It's a pathetic show put on by a corrupt, putrid industry...

I stopped paying attention to the Grammys long ago. I'm not sure when they stopped being irrelevant, but I'm guessing it was at least 30 years ago.

Well, the Golden Globe nominations are out and Paul is not on that list for Original Song or score.. Some consider that foreshadowing for the Oscars.
