looks like i might be one of the first among members to have the open season soundtrack. i just bought it on itunes after midnight this morning!
i will teel you what it think.
whisper me luck is a great soothing ballad it seems to have a 12 string guitar going on in the song, and as a proud owner of one i'm delited!!
right to arm bears has some of the best vocal work i have ever heard. it almost sounds like paul brought a huge quire in the studio.
better than this is very cheery and upbeat. and all about me is very catchy as well.
if paul doesn't score popularity on this one, then he never will. that is my prediction.
i'm hoping all of you will buy this soundtrack later today. But i got to go to bed now. goodnight!!!!

* a quire (architecture) is part of a church. * a paper quire is a quantity of sheets of paper. * a variant spelling of choir

I think in his excitement he went phonetic on us, I'm guessing he meant choir.

I listened to it about 4 times yesterday. The only dissapointing thing is that it really doesn't work for me as an album. It's a great Paul EP. The songs are great. A little poppier than Paul has been lately, but definitely not overproduced. "All about Me" sounds to me like it could have been on Folker. "Love you in the Fall" and "right to Arm Bears" sound pretty much like the (new) 'Mats to me ala "Pool and Dive" and "Message to the Boys."

I just braved the morning rush hour traffic to go to Target (much to my wife's shock) to snag my copy. Our Target was only sent 3 copies - of which I got number one. Haven't listened all the way through, yet, but now I can have it for the work day.
A new Paul release day is like a visit from an old friend.

Can't get any better than this....
(Unless of course Tommy & Paul set about writing and recording and touring, but for tonight I'll settle for a new batch of great songs.)

Agree on Whisper me Luck, a great Paul song. And I can't help smiling when I hear Good Day. A song about Bob that references Hold My Life in a movie for kids.
Is it me or is that not awesome???
