Seeing Elegant Mules video thread, inspired me to start this one.
Though I hate music videos in general, I thought it would be interesting to see what videos people will pick.

sure... you take the lead in post totals, and the next thing you know, you're making polls... bastards is, of course, a classic... (always been kinda fond of the Love Untold, too...)

Yeah, I just saw "Love Untold" the other day. I always thought it was one of his best. Of course he probably only has 6 or 7 videos, not including those bits on the CFMT DVD. Once in a while, I got to throw out a poll I guess I'm still waiting for Nudge to start one!

I like Merry-Go-Round just for Paul's awful lip-sync.

As much as "Bastards of the Young" is the best anti-video around, "Love Untold" is a very touching video. I also like "Runaway Wind" even though it's a bit hokey with all the flying stuff.

Didn't Bash & Pop have a video??? Man I swear I remember seeing one.....call me wacky, but I would lay a fiver down on it!!! I think it was for "Loose Ends," I could be wrong on the song.....but man I think it was in the usual black and white in some dusty old bar/theater deal.....

My favorite video of all time is the one for "Dyslexic Heart", from the movie "Singles".

It was for "Loose Ends", but it was in color, not black and white. It was the dusty old bar deal with Tommy in drag at the bar and performing (sans dress and make-up) onstage with the band.

Yeah, I thought that was him too; Another Gary Shandling connection. I think it's a John Cusack/Cameron Crowe connection.

I think it's a John Cusack/Cameron Crowe connection. Was referring to Piven being a cast member on Shandling's show while PW played on it. I didn't see Cusack in the Video. I get the Cusack/Crowe connection for Say Anything, and know Crowe did Singles, but lost on the Cusack connection to Dyslexic heart video. Clarify? BTW, its kinda funny that dyslexic is so hard to spell.

It's more like 2 degrees of seperation: Crowe directed the video...Cusack and Crowe are buddies (and isn't the story that John and Joan turned Cameron on to the Mats in the first place?)...Cusack and Piven are buddies and Cusack gets Piven cast in nearly everything he's associated with. It just seems more likely to me that Piven was cast in Crowe's video through the Cusack connection rather than through the more tenuous Larry Sanders connection.
