If I download the remastered Twin Tone albums from iTunes, will I still be able to appreciate the...remastery? Or will the compressed iTunes files render the subtle differences in sound quality imperceptible? And what about the packaging? Anything new?

Buy the damn discs and just rip them onto your Ipod. Years after your Ipod has crapped out and you computer backup is long gone you'll still have the CD's.

I bought a couple of the re-mastered Twin Tone discs when they came out. The sound quality is better, but there's nothing special in terms of liner notes and no bonus tracks like Rhino's planning to do with the Sire/Reprise stuff.
