"Waitress in the Sky" is actually Charlie Rich's "Mountain of Love"with different words. I have no idea how he didn't get sued on this one.
I always got a "Ballroom Blitz" feel from the riff in "Century".

Sorry, I meant Charlie Pride not Charlie Rich. Charlie Pride did Mountain of Love.

Me three.
and no one has ever disabused me of the idea that the "meet me any place or anywhere at anytime" part from "I Will Dare" comes from the Beatles' "I'm Only Sleeping" ("please don't wake me, oh don't shake me, leave me where I am") ... well, no one's ever agreed with me either.

Um, so I'm listening to Runaway Wind and for the first time in 12 years it hits me that this song sounds like a Bob Seger song. I can't decide if it sounds more like Roll Me Away or The Fire Inside. But it's eerily Seger-ish. *gulp*

Merely an observation. now now... there is a sweep to runaway wind that reminds me of self-conscious 70s rock. i'll admit to that for sure. so, i guess i can see your point. and i love you. you know that.

I think 'Man Without Ties' sounds like 'The Trees' from Hemispheres.....when you are underwater. and on mescaline. at least to me.

The day after Pauls' Atlanta show. I was shopping and heard the Stone's, Waiting On A Friend in the background Musak. The guitar riff immediately reminded me of Kickin The Stall.

I think that Skyway was a stab at Big Star's Thirteen. They're both classic.
