Got my package this afternoon. "Placemat" was folded on one side, but otherwise fine. Will look at the stuff after dinner.

Was about to throw away the box and found an iron on patch inside the packing.

Wednesday for me, enjoy for those who have it. Anyone got a quality version of Make This Your Home, downloaded some boot versions that were hard on the ears. Maybe Tommy will rerecord or get it out someday?

Mine arrived today, the "Placemat" was scrunched on one end, kind of bummed, but everything else looks fine.

Sounds like everyone's placement was at least bent up a bit. Mine was. Shitty job all around by Rhino on the packaging/shipping aspect. I am less forgiving than I was with DMP.
The product is cool. Loving the book, haven't had a chance to listen to anything yet.

I gotta say...despite all the shit from Rhino with shipping and some of the cheap things thrown in for the "deluxe preorder" bundle
The actually quality of the LP and it's presentation is great!

One of the highlights for me is the relative abundance of "new" Tommy songs. Shows his great talent, particularly considering he was in his late teens at the time. I hope future releases uncover more Tommy songs.

Got mine today, not too shabby considering I ordered day of release. I think I like the string section inclusion for 'Can't Hardly Wait' better than the final version.

Interesting that those Tommy songs didn't have Paul and Chris backing him.
Also...I can't help but think I would take nearly ANY song from these sessions over "Shooting Dirty Pool."

"Interesting that those Tommy songs didn't have Paul and Chris backing him."
it's mentioned in the liner notes that Tommy would come early or hang out after to record his demo's at Blackberry, and at Ardent, Jim Dickenson, knowing Tommy had songs, but was shy about them, made time for him to be alone to work them out, away form Paul and Chris, so he recorded them with two of the engineer/musicians...

Mine arrived a few days ago. I absolutely love the set. For me, the album itself has never sounded better than this. I’ve always loved the album, but this time around the music seems to just burst out of the speakers. I prefer this remaster to the original vinyl. Loving the extra tracks too, not to mention the gorgeous box/packaging and my new t shirt, which fits. The liners were great, funny, touching and insightful. . The only bone I have to pick with the release is the delivery time, but hopefully Rhino gets their act together for the next one. Anyway, the box set is just plain old awesome.

I do like the song, but if I had to take one off the album, that would be it. Therefore, I certainly can't argue with the two possible points of view you mention! I'm sure many feel the same way about my screen name here (at best) when it comes to the "Tim" album...but I really do love that song, myself!

I remember absolutely despising 'I Don't Know' when I first got PTMM. I used to skip it every single time. Instead, I wore out 'I.O.U.' which is a song that has gone a bit overlooked. Has that Jason & The Scorchers sound to it. Rocking.
