Got my shipping confirmation and tracker number last night, but no updates from UPS as of yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Same. Email from Rhino with my order number and UPS tracking number, 3-day shipping. The wheels are in motion.

I think this will be one of those times when there is no shipment info and it just shows up at your door.

Well for now you can listen on Spotify to the release. Didn't pre-order this time, probably just going to buy the 60 dollar edition.
edit - There's maybe 2 songs sung by Tommy I never heard before, and in one he says "Pleased to Meet Me, the pleasure's all yours." There's also two for Chris, one of which being Cool Water, and one I never heard before called "All He Wants to Do is Fish".
Edit 2- Really good quality versions of "Run for the Country" and "Learn to Fail".

Man the Jimmy Iovine remix of "Can't Hardly Wait" rules...a nice surprise

After listening to the unreleased tracks that haven't been available in bootlegs, "Hey Shadow" has completely stolen my heart. It was at that moment that tears formed. I never really thought we'd get songs by em that weren't available in some form. I am so stoked to get the bundle in. The Blackberry Way demos with Bob were so rad to hear.

Pleasantly surprised by the Tommy songs...wonder why songs like these and "Satellite" didn't make it onto Bash & Pop's debut.

Just did a quick scan & listen to compare bonus/demo/alt tracks from the 2008 deluxe release with this new 2020 deluxe release. Here are some things that stood out to me:
- 2008's "Birthday Gal (Studio Demo)" seems to be the same recording as 2020's "Birthday Gal (Demo)" but they're mixed differently. In general, I'd say 2008 sounds brighter. - 2008's "Valentine (Studio Demo)" is very similar to 2020's "Valentine (Demo)," but there are some notable differences. 2008 sounds brighter and more polished. 2020 seems like a slightly different comp/edit of Paul's vocal track, including more reverb. - 2008's "Photo (Studio Demo)" sounds warmer than 2020's "Photo (Demo)" more raw, less polished mix. - 2008's "Alex Chilton (Alternate Version)" is *not* on the 2020 release; it is not the same as 2020's "Alex Chilton (Rough Mix)" - 2008's "Can't Hardly Wait (Alternate Version)" is *not* on the 2020 release; it is not the same as 2020's "Can't Hardly Wait (Rough Mix)" - 2008's "Cool Water" has a bit of dialogue at the end from Paul ("Brains are getting in the way, boys"), whereas 2020's "Cool Water (2020 Remaster)" does not have the dialogue.
All in all, if you were thinking about getting rid of your 2008 deluxe copy, it's definitely worth hanging onto for the 2 tracks that are exclusive to it, at the least.

Yeah ultimately there is less unheard material than the Dead Man's Pop set which was a real reimagining that this was never billed as...not much that hasn't been heard on bootlegs or on the All For Nothing/Nothing For All Sire b-sides release. Still exciting to hear these songs in a new capacity and hopefully other fans get to discovery something fresh. Loving "Trouble on the Way" too

When I saw Bash & Pop in Oct of 93 they played it pretty early in their set. Tommy said "this is the only Replacements song we're gonna do". As if to say "dont bother asking for Mats tunes"

They made a promo video, using old footage from the Ledge and Alex Chilton

I love the boxset. especially the 3 tommy tunes Wow.
Two questions:
- Are the interviews in the booklet new for the set or from when Bob Mehr did the book? Some of it seemed new, but the Dickenson quote (RIP) I've heard before. Couldn't tell if he did interviews for the set or if a completion from existing media. - I love that Jimmy Iovine did a mix, but how the hell did they get a big shot like him?

I think this will be one of those times when there is no shipment info and it just shows up at your door. OK, I know this is complaining about "first world problems" but....has anyone rec'd the boxset WITHOUT any update to their shipment from Rhino email/UPS website? Agree with what someone's post on one of the Mats Facebook pages, Rhino needs to get their act together (also file under DUH!/Fool me once shame on you).....if your preordered direct, I feel they should ship it so you receive it ON the release date....I'm not sure about specific bundles but it seems like folks who ordered elsewhere are getting quicker. As a side note, I bought the new Prince deluxe "Sign O' The Times" boxset from Amazon on Friday and got it Sunday. Rhino should partner with Amazon for future releases...

Well, since my last post on the 8th, the shipping status on the UPS website is unchanged, "Shipping Ready for UPS". No delivery date yet. IMO, this means my package may still be in the Rhino warehouse, awaiting UPS pickup.

Yep I was happy to get a shipping update last Thursday with 3-day shipping listed...only to see it was just that the label was created and my bundle is still listed as "Shipment Ready for UPS" this A.M.

You'd think that after the debacle with Dead Man's Pop they'd get it right. Once again, kicking myself for not ordering it from Amazon.
