Haven't been in the car in a few days, so I forgot what was in the CD player. This song came on when I pushed play and what a moment. I love this song, another 'Dad song'....and I think I read somewhere once that old Elrod said something about Prince being impressed by the guitar solo. Any one else ever read/hear that? Bueller? If so, as usual....Prince was on to something.

Don’t have much value to add here other than I love that track. It’s a good song and a good recording. It wouldn’t surprise me if Prince Rogers Nelson liked it.

Huh, interesting. I hadn't heard that Prince commented on the solo that he dug it. Pretty cool.
There was a certain kind of wistfulness to the song that I liked and how it kind of built itself up by the time he belts out "You don't blow like the wind that you used to be...." .
Despite being out of college for awhile, I especially identified with the lyric of:
don't know what to do with your life...
And funny how Paul said the even he wasn't quite sure what the song was about. Maybe about his dad, he said.

Playing that song now. I caved in and bought 14 Songs on CD in that package where it looks like a book on eBay. It arrived today. Literally, I opened the package 15 minutes ago and just started playing it.
I remember seeing that book/CD version at the university bookstore when I was in college. I owned it on cassette (didn't even have a CD player in fall 1993). Thought it looked pretty cool though. Hard to believe it's been nearly 27 years since then.
I got out of the collectible buying on eBay business years ago. But, I made an exception for this.
