What genres has PW covered as a songwriter? I'd say a handful, but he makes each one his own.

Well, he's done his blues, semi Jazz (Nightclub Jitters, The Last), musical (Wonderful Copenhagen), and folk stuff (Folker), country folk-rock (Kentucky Risin', Achin' To Be, Things), electronic dance music (? with Love you In Reverse).
I think any artist that's creative enough can put their own stamp on a genre. Paul is one of those highly creative artists. When I heard him do Wonderful Copenhagen, I immediately heard a little bit of that T. Rex rhythm and influence from "Bang a Gong". I thought, wow, that's pretty a pretty interesting interpretation!

I always thought "Shooting Dirty Pool" was some classic "Rocks"-era Aerosmith hard rock.

I always thought "Shooting Dirty Pool" was some classic "Rocks"-era Aerosmith hard rock. I've always thought that this song was a parody of the 80s hair metal bands, complete with Luther Dickinson's Eddie Van Halen-esque guitar. Is parodic hair metal a genre?
