Seeking some knowledge that I couldn't find in the Replacements Bible. On their cover of Tossin' and Turnin' recorded during the Ardent Studios PTMM sessions in 87 there are a few extra lyrics thrown in at the end of the song -
"Coming up here tonight I'm bobby lewis and I'll be performing At the atlanta fuckwad for the next two months Thank you very much
The confederate dollar is not taken here Whole lot of shakin' going on Hey, hound dog Bird dog I wanna be your dog Growl...
Let's do it again Stop the band, stop this music Who got my magic comb?"
Any ideas on why Paul throws that in there? Did they see him live at some point? Was Bobby Lewis known for his perfect hair? Am I just a hopeless Mats nerd?

Always heard it as natural comb.Natural combs are combs made from wood or sheep horn or ox horn.
I always thought natural comb sounded like a hair product that a greaser would use.

Check out Ted Hawkins. It'll put a smile on your face.
