Waitress in the Sky
Everyone knows the chords to this, but I think this is how they are actually voiced on the album. The high C note at the 8th fret is audible out on everything except the G, which becomes so low and muddy you almost can’t hear what he’s playing. Listen to the demo on the extended release of Tim, where it’s just the guitar, and you can hear the guitar more clearly.
Standard tuning.
Capo at 3rd fret.
Chords are named by pitch but frets are indicated relative to the capo.
He shuffles back and forth between the C and the C6 and the F and F6 and the G and G6. Then, when he plays the bridge, he throws in the F7 and the G7 as well, I think.
C
x.0.2.2.2.5
C6
x.0.4.2.2.5
F
x.0.7.7.10.x
F6
x.0.7.7.7.7
F7
x.0.7.7.7.8
G
0.2.2.x.x.x
G6
0.4.2.x.x.x
G7
0.5.2.x.x.x
C7
x.0.2.2.2.3
